The Emma Story

Emma

Momma Emma Thomas was a woman whose strength and determination was second to none. Momma Emma's motto was: "Do something with your life!" Her first honor was to God, often hearing her say, "Yes Lord and thank you Jesus!" Secondly, to her husband Albert Sr. and then her love and devotion to her ten children. Momma Emma did not read or write but she instilled love of education in all her children. Momma Emma's greatest gift was "LOVE" and she showered it in so many wise and wonderful ways. If you were in need, she was there. If you needed a shoulder to cry on, (only for a minute), she was there.

If you were hungry, even strangers who stopped by her home just to savor the smell, she would invite you in to be fed. Momma Emma knew food brought joy and togetherness! She could smell and taste food putting her special touch to anything that could be eatn. Momma Emma was a true meat lover and her husband Albert Sr. a total vegetarian. The classic saying, Jack Sprat could eat no fat, his eife could eat no lean and between them both, they lick the platter clean, defined their food loves. Her secret recipes have been passed down from days in the old South. The unique seasonings and blends she created is what you will eat today brought forth by her daughters and other family members. Her legacy continues through her children and great-great-great grandchildren. We invite you to enjoy a special part of our "Momma Emma".
